Assistance League of Capistrano Valley is a nonprofit volunteer organization whose members are dedicated to developing and implementing programs to provide humanitarian services in the community.
Founded in 1977, our volunteers support the students in the elementary and middle schools within the Capistrano Unified School District in south Orange County. In a joint project with other local Assistance League chapters, we also support the families on the Camp Pendleton Marine Base.
Our philanthropic organization provides many volunteer opportunities to serve the communities of Aliso Viejo, Capistrano Beach, Coto de Caza, Dana Point, Ladera Ranch, Laguna Niguel, Las Flores, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano.
Our two auxiliaries, Las Felices and Assisteens® help support our community efforts.
During the school year 2008-2009, our volunteers touched the lives of over 25,000 children through our four major philanthropies: Operation School Bell®, Kids On The Block™, Links to Learning and the Hands on Literacy Program. Our chapter members gave a total of 18,255 volunteer hours this past year to serve the children of the Capistrano Unified School District and the families on the Camp Pendleton Marine Base.
